Touraine
Wines

Saint-Martin, Bishop of Tours, and Rabelais helped build the reputation of wines from Touraine.
The Bourgueil Abbey grew cabernet franc grapes as far back as 1000 AD. Hurt by the phylloxera epidemic, the region has since come back to create wines with many facets.
