Tour Heurtault
This is one of the castle's most impressive towers and
one of the rare parts of the building that was never
destroyed. It is decorated in the Italian style (at the
right of the picture).

Assembly Hall
This is where judgement was made on the Protestants who
fomented a plot against the king. They were later hung from
the castle's ramparts.

St Hubert Chapel
This chapel was built between 1491 and 1496. It is a
beautiful example of architecture, and its outside
decorations, made of stone, are sumptuous. The interior
friezes and stained glass windows are also remarkable.
It now holds the remains of Leonardo da Vinci, who spent the
last years of his life in the neighboring Clos-luce.

Music Room
On the 1st floor of the Renaissance wing of the chateau,
where Francois I stayed during the 16th century, two
recently restored rooms show what life was like during the
time of Louis-Philippe, after 1815.
One room is furnished in the "1st Empire" and "Louis
Philippe" styles, and the other is a music room with a
beautiful grand piano with Brazilian rosewood veneer made in
the 19th century by Erard.
